Faith in action is living out Christ’s commands of “Do this in memory of me”
And “Love one another”.
“What is the use of saying that you have faith if you don’t prove it by your actions? Faith that does not show itself by good deeds is … dead and useless” Jas 2:14 -20
Role in our Lives
This is the Christian Life to which we are called. It is how we build God’s Kingdom on earth and bear witness to ‘the way, the truth and the life’.
In our Parish, the Parish Pastoral Council guides the policies, communications and faith development through the Pastoral and Liturgical Committees of the Parish.
The finances of the parish are controlled by the Finance Committee. The Maintenance Committee oversees the Parish buildings and facilities.
We participate in the
- Rathgar/ Terenure Fellowship
- We are in partnership with the parish of Kyuso in the Diocese of Kitui in Kenya through our “partnership with Africa”.
Parishioners are active members of
- The Legion of Mary
- St Vincent de Paul
- St Joseph’s Young Priests Society
- The Bethany Bereavement Support Group
Religious Communities live in our Parish who bear witness in their Communities and in parish life.
The Parish supports the initiatives of a number of organisations in the area.
These forms of Outreach reflect every aspect of our lives as Christians.
How to prepare, participate, give
Every member of the parish has a calling to express her/his faith in action. Participation can be through developing groups, providing financial or other support and availing of the services provided. The Parish Pastoral Council seeks members for the Ministries in the parish.
