Holy Days of Obligation

“Always be joyful, in the Lord.” Phil 4:4.

These holy days are annual celebrations that are fixed to a date in the calendar on which the parish community gathers to celebrate the key events of faith.

These include:

Immaculate Conception – 8th December
Nativity of the Lord – 25th December
Epiphany of the Lord – 6th January
St. Patrick – 17th March Co- Patron of the Parish
Assumption BVM – 15th August
All Saints – 1st November

Role in our lives

These feast days provide witness, value and encouragement to us in our Christian lives

In our parish, we celebrate the feasts of our patrons. St. Brigid, also our national patron, on 1st of February and St. Columba on the 9th of June. St. Patrick on 17th March.
